2017 MassCUE Fall Conference
Engaging Projects in Online Classrooms
Date: October 25th
Time: 10:00 am
Featuring panelists from Hanover High School, Bishop Fenwick and Pope Francis High School
Today, the power of technology provides students with the opportunity to go beyond their classroom walls, to explore courses not offered at their schools and to provide them with the necessary skills that will prepare them for a successful future.
The panel presentation will introduce participants to a range of projects that are helping students expand their knowledge base and develop their critical thinking skills all while being engaged in a virtual classroom. The panelists will provide specific examples of student experience and classroom work in each of their teaching fields with the Virtual High School (VHS). Projects encourages students to research and arrive at thoughtful conclusions either individually or with their peers. Completing projects in online courses also fosters a safe learning environment where students can share their opinions, findings, and feedback with classmates.
