Founder and Principal of the Notre Dame Virtual School
Sister Kristin Hokanson, SNDdeN, is a Sister of Notre Dame de Namur, She has worked in education and administration for over 35 years in Catholic schools in Massachusetts and is founder and principal of the Notre Dame Virtual School. She Currently serves on the board of trustees at Regis College, and serves as a program supervisor at Emmanuel College and supervisor in the Educational Leadership Program at Bridgewater State University. Sister Kristin served on the advisory board of the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur at the United Nations and promoted the UN’s sustainable development goals through her virtual school. She formerly served on the governing boards of Academy of Notre Dame in Tyngsboro, MA and Notre Dame Academy in Worcester, MA. Sister Kristin earned a bachelor’s degree from Salem State University and advanced degrees from Boston University and the University of Massachusetts. She has worked with the VHS Learning program for over 25 years and now serves on the VHS Learning Board of Trustees, helping to ensure the VHS Learning program serves the needs of its faith-based school constituents.
