Course Objectives
Course Essential Questions:
- How can algebra and geometry be used together to solve problems?
- What are the key properties of basic geometric shapes, and how can we use them to measure and compare figures?
- How do transformations like rotations and reflections affect shapes and objects, and how can we apply them in proofs and constructions?
- What are the different types of angles, and how can we analyze their relationships using logic and tools like protractors?
- How can we prove theorems about lines and angles, and how can proofs be used to solve problems?
- What are the relationships between congruent and similar triangles, and how can we use them to solve problems involving ratios and proportions?
- How can we use different types of logic statements and reasoning to construct proofs and solve problems in geometry?
Course Learning Objectives:
- Classify geometric shapes and reason about their properties.
- Transform and analyze shapes using logic.
- Master angles and their relationships.
- Prove theorems and solve problems.
- Explore triangles and their unique properties.
- Reason logically and build arguments.
- Apply logic to triangles and solve more complex problems.
