Course Objectives
Course Essential Questions:
- What makes quadrilaterals different from other polygons, and how does their geometry compare?
- When are shapes similar, and how can we use equations to identify and analyze these relationships?
- How can we visually represent lines and shapes changing, and what information can graphs reveal?
- How are triangles and circles connected, and how do trigonometric functions unlock their hidden relationships?
- What problems can we solve using the combination of geometry and trigonometry?
- How do we approach and solve equations involving different types of geometric shapes, and what strategies can we apply effectively?
- How can we harness geometric tools like lines, angles, and shapes to think logically and reason through problems?
Course Learning Objectives:
- Compare and contrast the properties of quadrilaterals, polygons and similar figures, including their equations and problem-solving methods.
- Graph the transformations of lines and figures.
- Use trigonometric functions to solve problem involving triangles and circles.
- Connect various geometric tools and concepts to logical reasoning and problem solving.
