Dorothy Maxwell

Vice Chairman of the Board; VHS Learning Site Coordinator and Teacher, Sacopee Valley High School

Dorothy is an experienced educator in online and face-to-face education.   She holds a B.S. Degree in Business Education from the University of Maine at Machias, a Master’s Degree in Education from the University of Southern Maine, and a Certificate of Advanced Study in Educational Leadership from the University of Southern Maine. She has served as President of the National Business Education Association, the Eastern Business Education Association, the New England Business Education Association, and the Business Education Association of Maine. 

Dorothy is a former Maine Teacher of the Year, where she was the founder of the Maine State Teachers of the Year Association.  She also has been recognized by the Milken Family Foundation with a Milken Family Foundation National Educator Award as well as having received the National Secondary Teacher of the Year Award from the National Business Education Association.
